1. Seller and contract
The seller at canyouescape.eu is Dream Studio OÜ, registry code 14226430, VAT number EE101958718. Address: Kaera tn 14, Tõrvandi alevik, Kambja vald, 61715 Tartu maakond, Estonia. Contact for orders, complaints and withdrawal statements: info@canyouescape.eu.
We sell browser escape games and gift vouchers for a specific game. We currently sell no physical products or monetary-value vouchers. Sektor B-12 is a free demo. A consumer is an individual purchasing outside their trade or profession. These terms do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
2. Price and ordering
A standard game or game-specific gift voucher costs EUR 22 including VAT. Products, quantities and the final total are shown before payment. There is no current public discount campaign. Check the game, language, email address and any gift recipient details before payment; you can correct them at checkout.
You submit an order with an obligation to pay using the clearly labelled payment button. Payments use the LHV/EveryPay payment environment and the methods available at checkout. The contract is concluded when successful payment is confirmed. Cancelling payment or merely returning from the payment page does not confirm receipt of money. The buyer receives an order confirmation and a durable copy of the terms for that purchase by email. To request an invoice, contact info@canyouescape.eu; we ask for the necessary invoice details separately.
3. Receiving and using game access
After payment is confirmed, game access is prepared and emailed. A gift is sent to the recipient selected by the buyer. The buyer receives their own order confirmation even when the gift is emailed directly to someone else. If the email or access does not arrive, check spam and contact us with your order reference. If a payment result is unclear, do not pay again without checking.
Games run in an internet-connected browser. The game page provides its language, description and technical information. Check suitability for your device before buying; the free B-12 demo introduces the browser-game format. Playing the demo does not establish that all games have identical technical requirements.
Paid game access and gift vouchers must be activated within one calendar year of purchase. Each access grants one playthrough. Opening an email, access page or game login page does not start the timer. Pressing START in the game begins up to 48 consecutive hours of access. Time continues while the window is closed. You may resume the same progress during this period; the game cannot be reset. Completing the game ends the playthrough even if fewer than 48 hours have passed.
Transferring access does not grant another playthrough or extend its deadline. A game-specific gift voucher remains valid for the selected game if its price later changes. Games cannot be exchanged for a different game, without affecting statutory withdrawal rights or remedies for a defective service. Older gift codes remain subject to the conditions applicable when issued; these terms do not themselves invalidate old codes.
4. Immediate start and the 14-day right of withdrawal
Consumers normally have 14 days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. Sending an unambiguous withdrawal statement before the deadline is sufficient. The statutory extended period applies if mandatory withdrawal information was not provided.
Before the first START, the player starting the game gives the confirmation displayed in the game using a separate checkbox that is unticked by default. In Surmav sünnipäev, the confirmation reads “I agree to the terms of sale.” and includes a link to the terms. Other games may display a longer start confirmation. START begins a game session of up to 48 hours. No voluntary refund is offered after START; statutory rights remain unaffected. Without this confirmation the first START is not allowed. The same applies to gifts and transferred access: the confirmation is given by the player who starts the game, including a gift recipient. The confirmation is recorded as the player’s action together with the version, language and time of the confirmation text. It does not prove that the player was the buyer and does not mean that a gift recipient has waived the buyer’s statutory rights. Merely opening an email, access page or game login page neither gives confirmation nor starts the game.
Issuing access or pressing START alone does not automatically remove the entire right of withdrawal. If you duly requested performance during the withdrawal period and withdraw before full performance, only a justified proportionate amount for the service actually provided may be payable under the law. There is no fixed activation fee or automatic retention of 100% of the price. Statutory protection applies if required information or the express request was missing. The full-performance exception applies only when all legal conditions are met.
If you submit a withdrawal statement within 14 days of purchase and START has not been pressed, we refund the full purchase price for the unused game access. After START, no voluntary refund for a change of mind is offered. This does not restrict the consumer’s statutory rights, including rights in the case of a defective game.
5. How to withdraw
The “Withdraw from contract” link in the footer opens https://canyouescape.eu/taganemine?lang=en. Enter the buyer’s name, details identifying the purchase and an email for confirmation. Review the statement and press “Confirm withdrawal”. No account is required. The acknowledgement includes your statement and its receipt date and time; you can save it and it is also sent by email. The form does not itself decide entitlement or a refund and does not reject a statement merely because an estimated deadline has passed.
You may also send an unambiguous statement to info@canyouescape.eu or the seller’s postal address. Example: “I withdraw from the contract for the following game or gift voucher: [product]. Order reference or purchase description: [details]. Purchase date: [date]. Buyer’s name and address: [details]. Statement date: [date].” Sign a paper statement. This wording is optional and no reason is required. For multiple products, specify those concerned.
For a valid withdrawal, we reimburse the amount due without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving the statement. We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree to a different method that costs you nothing. Acknowledgement of receipt is not confirmation that a refund has been made.
6. Defects, complaints and disputes
If the game or access does not conform to the contract, contact info@canyouescape.eu with your order reference and a description. Do not send passwords or full card details. Subject to the law, consumers may require conformity to be restored free of charge within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, a price reduction or termination of the contract. We provide updates required by law. Expiry of the withdrawal period or pressing START does not remove remedies for defects.
For a single supply of digital content or a digital service, we are responsible for non-conformity existing at supply and appearing within two years. For continuous supply, responsibility covers non-conformity appearing during the contractual supply period. Statutory rules govern the burden of proof and remedies; the game’s access duration does not shorten statutory claim rights.
We respond to consumer complaints in writing within 15 days. If we cannot provide a resolution in that time, we explain the delay and give a new reasonable deadline. If no agreement is reached, consumers may contact the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (https://ttja.ee/tarbijavaidluste-komisjon) or a court. Consumers in another EU country may seek help from the European Consumer Centres Network (https://www.eccnet.eu/).
Estonian law applies, preserving the protection of mandatory law in the consumer’s country of residence where applicable. Later changes to these terms do not retroactively replace the contract text for your purchase.
